Social media and social networking sites, how is it affecting youth and their view of the world?.
Daily we see new challenges posted on Facebook and YouTube influencing today’s youth. Some challenges like the famous ALS ice bucket challenge are great, they raise questions about ALS and get awareness to the charity’s and people suffering with ALS. But some other challenges I’ve seen like the coke bottle challenge where girls place a bottle of coke between their breast in support of breast cancer seems silly to me. Wouldn’t we be hurting their feelings by doing this since so many of the women with breast cancer have lost their breast?
Not only is it the challenges I see but the “stunt” videos of people trying extremely dangerous stunts and becoming YouTube famous, influencing the younger generation to attempt these type of things so they to can become famous. Everyone now has…
